How long have you been doing hair?
I have worked as a hairstylist for ten years.
What's your advice for an aspiring stylist?

The hair business is extremely competitive, but very rewarding. The advice I'd give to an aspiring stylist is to keep improving on your craft by attending advanced classes in the field. Make this be something that you want, and honestly, it will feel like you have not worked a day in your life.

Favorite products?

Mizani has an amazing hair system. These products are specifically designed to combat any type of hair issues a client may be experiencing.

Most important lesson learned in the field?

The most important lesson I have learned is that you have to keep going, no matter how difficult the environment is.  I didn't start a business to fail and I will see this through to the end, no matter what.

What do you wish women knew about hair?
I wish women knew that hair is our best accessory. Believe me, when your hair is nicely done, nothing else matters.

What is your idea of a classic style?
My idea of classic hairstyles has always been recreated by Gwen Stefani, Naomi's chic part in the middle and Beyonce's big body waves.

Favorite holiday hair
Most women are into beautiful buns and updos for the holidays, which is classy.  One of the newest trends would be beachy waves which are fun, quick and easy.

Do you ever have time to do your hair?

I am always on the go, so getting my hair done can be a hassle. But one of my stylists usually gets a hold of me. The worst thing is to not have your hair done and talk to a client about her hair.

What inspires you the most?

I get inspired when I see talented hairstylists who are humble, who are enthusiastic and who share the same passion, determination, and goals that have been engraved in me.
