Black Women With Style: Thandiwe Zulu: make-up artist/stylist/blogger
Personal Style: to make a long story short im pretty much this "afrocentric grungy pretty girl hippie", but my style is so eclectic because i'm not afraid to try different things. i get inspired from people who are not from here. i like to express my south african heritage with jewelry, and clothing from there. also, i hate shopping in malls, i live for thrift stores, flea markets, and my grandma's closet!
Hair: i have been natural for my entire life, and i love that my mother would never allow me and my little sister to put chemicals in our hair. i have learned to appreciate and love my hair and not apologize for it. I miss my curly head of hair but i have been locking for 1 year and 9 months now, and my favorite product is Mango & Lime locking creme. In my house we ONLY use Carol's Daughter hair products (Tui Herbal shampoo, Rosemary Mint conditioner, and Healthy Hair Butter are my personal faves)* my locs teach me a lesson of patience, that is their purpose. however they make so much sense to my life. my hair is filled with beads, bottle caps, and shells that i find along the way and even "gifts" from people that i love, or have only known for a day. they literally carry memories, and i couldn't express myself in any other way!
