Review: Cantu Shea Butter Moisturizing Rinse Out Conditioner
As everyone knows, I am a love of Cantu's products. The shampoo and leave-in conditioner have left me extremely happy ever since I have bought them. I recently bought their conditioner expecting nothing but the same satisfaction, but I was a little let down. The conditioner really didn't seem to do it for me. It was extremely thick and I felt like I had to use a lot of it in order to do my co-wash, which made me feel like it would be used faster (which wouldn't be a concern of mine since it was less than $5 for 13oz, but the consistency simply wasn't for me.). It did leave my hair feeling soft and manageable until it dried. This is where the problem came, my hair felt harder than normal and a little stiff, even after I tried to soften it up with moisturizers. I recently found out that the problem was the alcohol that is apart of the ingredients. It has the same light sweet smell as the other Cantu products, so I was happy with that. I wouldn't recommend this product for everyday co-washing, but if you happen to have product buildup, this would be a great clarifying conditioner.
